Leading Edge Annual Science and Innovation Fair 2015
Leading Edge's annual Science and Innovation Fair is Thursday, March 19. This is our 16th annual fair! Students participating should bring in their display boards and materials to Mrs. Bibayoff's room that morning. Judging for sixth grade will be during the end of the school day. Families are welcome to come back that evening from 5-6:30 to enjoy the Renaissance Fair and see all of the projects on display in the Leading Edge hallway. There will also be a 3D printer, Foldscope, and Genius Time demonstrations in Mrs. Bibayoff's room. Come check it out!

Science Fair sounds like it would be a lot of fun! Wish I could participate in it. Good luck to all the 6th grade students who are entering the competition!!! :D :D :D
ReplyDeleteThe perspective that this blog entry was written in is phenomenal! I am a team leader of a group, and I love to see this entry as it tells us fascinating things about the Leading Edge Science Fair, like that it is the 16th annual one in Leading Edge. However, I wondered what is the Renaissance Fair. Is it some type of competition also? My group and I, and making an invention called the Doc-Bot. It is like a robotic-doctor which does basic doctoral procedure. We feel that we have made great progress. We can't wait for the Science Fair!
ReplyDeleteHi Amol,
DeleteThe Renaissance Fair is an event that the 7th and 8th graders have been preparing for. There will be dances and art to showcase what they've been learning about this historical time period. It's the first year that we are trying it this way (with both events on one night). We thought it might make it easier for families and fun to showcase both. Our unofficial mascot of the evening will be the spirit of Leonardo daVinci, the ultimate Renaissance scientist/artist. Thanks for asking!
I can't wait! My group entered a project and I can't wait to see how it does as well as all the other things that night!
ReplyDeleteI am very excited for my group to display our projects too. I am very proud of it and want to show everyone what we created. Our group is also printing our idea on the 3-d printer, that I can't wait to see. Great blog because it really catches the fun and excitement shown in this upcoming event that we all are looking foreward too. This event will be great to show parents.
ReplyDeleteI was also wondering, is the judging during the 7th period? Thanks.
I am so excited for the science fair! Even though I am not going to be presenting, my other team members will be.
ReplyDeleteI am so very excited to participate this year! I hope the judges like our project. We did our model on the 3D Printer and then painted it to show more details. Good Lick to everyone participating! :D
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for science fair and to submit my project. I am also excited to see the different projects and their topics.
ReplyDeleteSame with you Shreya I am pumped for this project and seeing all the effort to get it done in final form!
DeleteI am excited for Science Fair as well! I am excited to showcase my invention, which is an invention that can create rain from manipulating clouds. I'm also excited to see everyone else's inventions. Renaissance Fair also seems like an interesting and fun event, and I would like to visit if i get the chance. It's interesting for two after-school events to happen in the same time, and I can't wait to look at the time and effort implemented into both events.
ReplyDeleteYou mean OUR invention, not my.
DeleteI am so excited to see all the awesome and great projects at the Science Innovation Fair and the Renaissance Fair too. I am also participating in the science fair and I hope we will do good and whoever is also participating good luck!!
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be so exciting to see all the projects on display! Good luck to all those participating!
