Spirit Week and Rally by Ava and Amanda

Let’s

Last week at LE the school had a chance to show their school spirit for the entire week and also at our first school rally of the year! On Monday it was Pajama Day where everyone got to wear their comfy clothes they sleep in. On Tuesday it was inside out day where everyone got to wear their clothes inside out. On Wednesday it was crazy hat/hair where everyone got to do something crazy with their hair. On Thursday it was Superhero day where we all got to dress as some of our favorite superheroes. And on Friday it was Hawaiian day where everyone got to where lays, grass skirts, sandals, etc. It was amazing see all of the outfits students put together to show their school spirit. Our JV Volleyball team all wearing capes for superhero day.
Here's students from Mrs. Leporiere’s class showing their school spirit!

Friday the 15th we had our first school’s official rally! The rally theme was Hawaiian since Friday was Hawaiian day whoever dressed up somehow Hawaiian got a slip of paper and wrote their name on it. One of the first things we did after the entire school was settled in the gym, we had a hula dance off. A contestant from each production class was representing their class by hula dancing against other students. The person with the most applause won the competition. The competitors were dancing to a performance performed by Leading Edge’s Taiko club. At the end it was all down to Laiba and the 7th grader Logan R. Mr.Shane had to break the tie, and the winner was…… neither Logan nor Laiba it was Sean!!!

After the fun hula competition Mr.Shane gave a warm introduction to the Boys Soccer ,JV Volleyball and Varsity Volleyball!!!

After the sports teams introduction Mr.Shane thought it would be fun if Ms.Neary went against two 8th graders in an athletic competition. At the end Mrs.Neary won!!!! Before the rally was done each grade went head to head in a hula hoop game. Each person from each grade has to get through a hula hoop while holding hands. It was 8th against 7th against 6th. At the end 6th grade won!!! Overall our first spirit week and Rally was AMAZING!! Can't wait for the next.
