The Mummy's Tomb edited by Mayee

“Recently In Expressions, Leading Edge Sixth Graders got ready for their Mummy's Tomb Performance. “The process of the play was hard trying to get everybody with a part they wanted . Before showtime the had two hours to get the play looking fabulous .

“Mummy’s Tomb was such a great experience, and I think that it was a great way to wrap up our study of Egypt. I would definitely want to do this event again, if I had the option to. - Claire”

It was really confusing , but it was really Fun!! -Li & Kaela

I really liked performing in Mummy’s Tomb because I scared people, which was really amusing. I was in the Hall of Terror. Simran and I made a contest to see how many shoelaces we could untie. I untied 5 people’s shoes, and one person got really mad about it. Two people also stepped on my hands. I thought it was a lot of fun scaring people. One person that we scared jumped back and hit the desk behind them! - Evynn

I LIKE SCARING PEOPLE - Rishaan

The scary parts gave everyone a real scare, it felt really real -

There many parts to the play . Being a tour guide would take great responsibility- you would take a group of parents and show them a tour with Isis looking for her husband's body parts or in the weighing of the heart ,earthquake crew, in the mummification scene or being a goddess arguing in the treasure room. Everything was a good part. Some people were part of the thriller dance. Most of all everybody had a great time. Lets not forget the Cairo Cafe with Cameron jokes the Bangles and more!!

“Wooo-hooo! One of the best Friday the 13ths I've ever celebrated was during Mummy's Tomb, and it was very, very fun! One of my favorite parts was the Cairo cafe, which included 4 different performances from some very talented people. The groups that performed were as follows; a reenactment of SNK's Steve Martin "King Tut", a lip-sync Bangles band from the 80's singing "Walk Like an Egyptian", Kamran and his very PUNNY jokes, and of course, TAIKO! The first group to show off their amazing skills was taiko, and they literally had the entire audience clinging on their chairs, cheering for more. The beat of the drums was very melodic and thrilling. I personally loved it, and I even think that they should start performing live in a world tour (you should REALLY consider it, Taiko). The next performance was King Tut's little song, which was also very great. Nathan was overall perfect at lip-syncing, and Reyna's flute solo was superior. The back-up dancing was also very flawless. Another performance that was fabulous was The Bangles "Walk Like an Egyptian"! It was great that they agreed to perform again in about 30 years from the debut of this song! Even though they were a little *aged*, and they grew a little shorter, AND they looked like middle schoolers -  their performance took me back to the 80's! Last but certainly not least, was Cameron's corny jokes! His performance was so corny and “punny”, it completely deceived me! I really thought that Cameron was actually just Mr.Shane in disguise... My favorite joke was "Why was the pharaoh's kids confused? (Wait for it...) BECAUSE THEIR DADDY WAS A MUMMY! Badum tssss! Oh, and, let's not forget one of the most important parts of the Cairo Cafe...Its cafe! The hot cocoa and coffee served by parent volunteers were really, really, good. I was so tempted to try it, that I burned my tongue. But it was worth it. That hot coco is really dank. Before I leave, shout out to each and every actor/actress in the Mummy's Tomb (and the parent volunteers)! and Happy Thanksgiving!”- Krystal

I describe it  as  Egypt -Lauren

It was okay ,but cool- Diego P.

I think that it was awesome because there was a mummies dance and that was amazing -Komal

Who went to see Mummy's Tomb last Friday night? If you did, I think we can all agree that it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. To those of you who weren't able to attend the Mummy's Tomb, the whole experience consisted of marvelous adventures taken from the Cairo Cafe all the way through the Nile River to the treasure room. First of all, the cabaret acts were amazing, and the hot coco was good         ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and the cabaret acts were also very cool. I loved King Tut, the Bangles, Taiko, and Kamran's jokes. They were very lively and beautiful. I enjoyed watching them a lot, but was very excited for my tour! I couldn't wait, but Mrs. Meindl placed me in one of the very last tours, because I still needed to perform, too. When I finally got to go on a tour, I drank some coffee first, because I thought it was hot coco. But it wasn't (‘◉⌓◉’)... Anyways, I started my tour along the Nile River, and I got to see a giant squid attacking a giant shark and the giant shark was trying to eat Shayan. (•ˇ‿ˇ•) Nobody did anything about it, but it's okay, because the shark was actually fake. I moved further along the river and saw Isis trying to search for her husband's (Osiris A.K.A Alexander’s) body parts. It was very crazy! Then, I went inside Mrs. Bibayoff’s room and saw Savun getting mummified by some beautiful girls in butterfly masks. Julliana was even saying some ancient Egyptian tomb rituals. After that, I went into Mrs. Hanson's room and saw somebody getting their hearts weighed by Osiris. It was amazing, but I kept on wondering how heavy my heart would be... (• ̥̆ •) ... In the end, I went inside the Treasure Room and got to see mummies dancing. I liked the part where the dodo tour guide touched the treasure, even though he wasn't suppose to. It was very amusing.Altogether, Mummy's tomb was SWAG, and I will definitely go to see it next year. YASSS!”- Krystal

"Mummy's Tomb was amazing and so much fun!  I enjoyed seeing all of our hard work during the walk through during the last tour!"-Simran

  3. Haha, I agree with Lauren and Li, because the whole process and first couple minutes of minutes were busy and CONFUSING. But, in the end, Mummy's tomb has made a big impact on my knowledge of Ancient Egypt.
